Since ancient times the line between legal and illegal has always been thin and has been modified following the dominant school of thought and the cultural mood of the period. One of the main advantages of legalizing soft drugs is the fact that they can be checked and can be keep under control in order to quit power to all sort of mafias. More illegal matters exist more mafia has power, can make money and can increase his role in the society. What is more, soft drugs, in some case, can be used as medicine, allowing people to take advantage of their use. Finally, the business, these products provoke, can generate profits that could be made taxable, giving more money to central administrations which could reinvest them to upgrade services and to raise employments. However, there are disadvantages of legalizing soft drugs. Many young people can have a direct access to them, generating, consequently, more drugs dependence and more drugs consumers.
