Qirsh

The Qirsh were born in Savona, Italy, in 1993, initially proposing themselves as a pop-rock cover band, then staring their own music: an original mix of progressive and psychedelic rock. In 1997 the first album, Una città per noi, was released. In 2014, under the Lizard Records label, the group's second album was released: Sola Andata, a concept album of 9 songs, each with its own style and atmosphere, but with a common theme: travel. Journeys of exploration, journeys in the history, journeys in the mind or in one's anxieties. In October 2020 the third album: Apera Tempora - part 1, a prog-rock ‘concept album’ on the theme of man's fears: the fear of rumors, of loneliness, of heights, of pain, of gods’ judgment. Compared to the band's first two albums, Aspera Tempora sounds even less commercial and more 'progressive', as far as the theme but also in the arrangement and length of the songs. The lineup of the band has been practically unchanged for more than 20 years: Marco Fazio and Leonardo Digilio joined right after the 3 founders Daniele Olia, Andrea Torello and Michele Torello, and then Pasquale Aricò a few years later; in 2020 Giulio Mondo also joins the Qirsh for the recordings of Aspera Tempora.
