The Bolokos is a Punk band formed in 2009 in Goyave, Guadeloupe (F.W.I). It is composed of Océ Cheapfret (vocals, bass, guitar, bombard, mandolin), Edy Caramello (vocals, guitar, harmonica, bagpipes) and Mister Fridge (drums, vocals). Pioneers of Punk Rock in Guadeloupe, the band started in the small clubs of the island under the name of The Sleepwalkers but changed quickly for the current name. The band is defined by a fusion between Punk, Country, Ska and Celtic and Creole music. They cultivate a particular style both visually and musically. In December 2014, release of the first single Love You As Before on the Label Bokit Production (DIY) . The band sometimes incorporates other instruments (Gwo Ka, Melodica, Banjo, Trumpet etc.) Since the band tours tirelessly, distinguishing themselves by it style on the Caribbean and International scene. They were the first caribbean band to be featured at the Rebellion Punk Music Festival in Blackpool. The band organised the first Rock music festival in Guadeloupe island called Rock In Gwada, the edition took place the january 23th 2016 in Petit-Bourg. The Montebello Rum Distillery in Guadeloupe unveiled a special rum in their honor called Cuvée The Bolokos following the song White Rum whose videoclip was shot in the distillery. The 30th march 2019 the band released it's first studio album produced by the martinican artist Kali.
