Foo Fighters confirm they will continue without Taylor Hawkins

After over two decades of creating great music together, the Foo Fighters announced they will be continuing without Taylor Hawkins, their beloved drummer. Dave Grohl, frontman and founding member of the highly successful rock band, released a joint statement with remaining members regarding Hawkins' departure.

In the statement, Grohl said "Taylor made significant contributions throughout our career, not only as a middle brother on stage every night, but creatively throughout Foo Fighters' history...recent developments have led all of us to come to this difficult decision." He continued by emphasizing that "[we] know that we’re going to be a different band going forward", yet there is still much created to come from this dynamic group of four musicians as they navigate life without its most esteemed rhythm section player.

This news breaks fans hearts nationwide — Taylor’s presence left an ineffable void on the stage that can never be replaced; however knowing the lesser heralded counterparts Nate Mendel (bass) Chris Shiflett –lead guitar– & Pat Smear– rhythm guitar– are still carrying on The fighters eternal flame with such heartfelt conviction shows us all an incomparable strength .
